This category contains information about the EDGAR filing process.
This category contains information about the data libraries used by the GoFiler applications.
Depending on the application, you may have access to the CIK Library, the Reporting Owner Library, and the Series and Class Library. Each of these libraries stores different kinds of data. The CIK Library stores filer information for registrants. The Reporting Owner Library stores information for reporting owners, their signatures and related issuers. The Series and Class Library stores series and class information.
This category contains information about GoFiler projects.
GoFiler projects (*.gfp) are special files used by the GoFiler suite to store EDGAR form data and, if applicable, reference documents. Unlike the EDGAR submission file, which stores document data at the time a document is added to the submission file, GoFiler projects reference the document to allow you total access to it within a GoFiler application or any other editing software. When you submit the project to EDGAR, the GoFiler application will combine the form data and the documents together into the submission file and transmit it securely to the SEC. In this way, you can safely edit documents up to the point of submission without needing to re-compile any files.
The following applications do not use GoFiler projects because they do not file forms that contain documents: GoFormD and GoMFP. All other GoFiler applications use GoFiler project files.
This category contains information about the application settings and preferences.
Settings are options in the application that persist between sessions and are stored in two files within the AppData folder of your computer. These files store information like the options stored in the application Preferences as well as persistent options for certain functions such as the custom reflow options or the color presets for the table striping function.
The settings are stored in two different files. One is the “Application Settings.ini” and the other is “Application.ini” where “Application” is the name of your GoFiler software. For example, a GoFiler Complete user would have settings files named: GoFiler Complete Settings.ini and GoFiler Complete.ini.
