This category contains information about GoFiler projects.
GoFiler projects (*.gfp) are special files used by the GoFiler suite to store EDGAR form data and, if applicable, reference documents. Unlike the EDGAR submission file, which stores document data at the time a document is added to the submission file, GoFiler projects reference the document to allow you total access to it within a GoFiler application or any other editing software. When you submit the project to EDGAR, the GoFiler application will combine the form data and the documents together into the submission file and transmit it securely to the SEC. In this way, you can safely edit documents up to the point of submission without needing to re-compile any files.
The following applications do not use GoFiler projects because they do not file forms that contain documents: GoFormD and GoMFP. All other GoFiler applications use GoFiler project files.
This category contains information about the Project Wizard function. This function is not available in all GoFiler applications.
The Project Wizard is a tool within many GoFiler applications that creates a new project file based on both preset options and input entered during the project creation process. Rather than creating a blank project file, the Project Wizard can be used to add job control data, filer information, form data and even documents as part of creating a new project.
