Extension updates are managed by the web browser. The extension should automatically update when a new version is found. Browsers generally will check for extension updates upon open and then periodically as the browser is being used (depending on user settings and the browser being used).
If the extension doesn't automatically update, ensure that the extension is enabled within your browser and, for chromium-based browsers, that you can access the Google Chrome Web Store.
